FNB "How can we help you" - FALSE ADVERTISING
FNB claims to care and to be there (How can we help) vbut this is such false advertising. On 6 June 2023 I logged a case of ***** - transactions came off my aco**** at 04h05 that morning that were definately not me. The ***** line blocked my cards and arranged for new cards.
I was told that the case takes 5-30 days and I would be given a verdict then.
After almost 40 days I called in - up until that point there had been absolutely no contact from FNB. When I called I was its unlikely I would get money back - reason; it was probably my fault. I was told that the only was this could've happened was if I clicked on a link and entered my card details (virtual ***** - purchases made from a 7-11). The lady gave me a whole bunch of types of links I could've clicked on. I work in IT, there is no way we click on links and enter card details. Anyway, they told me they'd be in touch.
Fast forward a week and my mom tells me her colleague went through the same thing... and she was told the exact same thing by FNB - SHE clicked on a link, it was HER fault. She escalated the issue and was paid back her money within a week.
After 20+ years banking with FNB this is utterly pathetic behaviour. "How can we help you" is false advertising, a lie. They're only looking out for themselves.
I even email their FNB Cares department, a week ago, and still nothing!
