FNB - how can I frustrate you

I have been a client with FNB for more than 20 years and have always bragged that my blood is turquoise but as I sit in tears on my couch I realise it's time to end this abusive relationship. I have been trying for over a month to resolve a query and ensure I didn't end up in the situation I am currently in and yet here I am. I have tried every avenue for resolution - chat, calling, emailing and all that happens is I am posted from one team to another and no-one can actually give me any valid solutions. I have never missed a payment or debit order on my account but I am currently on maternity leave (unpaid unfortunately) and due to being retrenched 2 years ago my savings took a hit - I knew this would be a tough month so I asked my bank for help. After 20 years of taking products and making sure I have never missed a payment (even when I was unemployed due to retrenchment) and never paying late - I didn't think it would be too much to ask. I'm not asking for anything other than a break for a few months until I am back at work and back to a normal salary. I do not think this is an unreasonable request but it seems it is.

After following up multiple times with multiple people in multiple different avenues - all I wanted was someone to explain the process to me or if I should just leave my 2 month old at home and head back to work because of the complexity of this request.

Needless to say the amount of anxiety and stress this has caused was really not worth it. So thanks for nothing FNB, even after logging 2 complaints I have received no substantial feedback and looking at the state of my account literally sends me into a panic attack.

I do hope you attempt to improve on your customer experience but being the "best digital bank" haemorraging clients can't be positive in any way.
