FNB Housing Finance - Time, Money, Effort Wasting & Destroying Peoples Future

I have app**** and been granted a home loan from FNB about a year ago. All the documents was signed from the OTP, Loan agreement and Lawyers instructions. All that was required is to hand over the keys but the loan was declined at the very last moment. The reason was "Not permanently employed".

I had a permanent job when I had app****, however after the lawyers instructions i moved outside SA (to China for a 3 year contract) to further my career with more money. I have instructed FNB with my move and they made me sign a declaration that I have employment outside SA. I even have to fly to Hong Kong consulate from China to get my documents authenticated and affidavits. 6 months later when it is time to hand over the keys the loan was cancelled.

I am very disappointed in FNB that I have rejected other home loans and chose them because I bank with them. I have spend the whole year preparing for this home, traveled to another country to get the documents authenticated and affidavits. Everything was on track and now when its keys handover the loan is rejected.

- My credit record is excellent - I have not missed a debit order ever since moving - I am earning twice my previous salary - I am on a long term contract

FNB has really wasted my time, money, and future!!!
