FNB horrible service
I am a new client to FNB, after considering switching for quite a while I finally decided to do it. I must admit that I feel that was a huge mistake. From staff at the branch to staff on the phone I just cannot seem to get any clear cut answers from them. It has been 2 weeks since I app**** and was immediately approved for a credit card telephonically. I have not received a credit as yet nor can any FNB staff explain why. I have gotten approved and opened vehicle finance accounts in less time than this. I cannot even get my ebucks card linked to my account. I must warn anyone thinking of the switch, please know that my experience so far have been appalling.

07 May 2019, 09:32Update - went to my nearest branch - Durban North. Advised no one can help me and was told I must use the phone to call and check with the credit card division. Was left at the phone with no help and no one insight to ask for help. The phone call went dead, I just walked out the branch. At the moment no one I ask knows anything. I even asked if the matter can be escalated and the FNB famous words came up "I'm sorry sir, unfortunately I cannot do that" - battling to find something FNB can do right.

13 May 2019, 21:31UPDATE - So I got multiple phone calls from various staff at FNB in response to this complaint. Some effort has been made, just a pity that it had to take a formal complaint to warrant action.
In respect to service and response, my ebucks issue has been resolved and I'm satisfied with the outcome.
My credit card application however baffles me, still nothing. Yes got phone calls and apologies but no progress at all on the status of my credit card. I got one call saying to resubmit supporting docs which I did, and then another call the same day restarting the application process (the call disconnected in between and did not resume). I'm happy for now that I did not cancel my Absa credit card, but not happy to have to pay bank charges at 2 banks. Just cannot understand how in 3 weeks (a week now after my formal complaint) and no credit card as yet. I would have been approved for a mortgage bond by now, but no credit card from FNB.
