FNB Homeloans are shocking!

I am at a loss. FNB Homeloans have been escalating & escalating our home value (& therefore our building insurance) by massive amounts each year for years & I have been trying to resolve it for YEARS.

I was told that all I need to do is send a cancellation form & confirmation of new cover showing that their interest had been noted, which I did on 31 July 2015. They would refund the upfront premium, bearing in mind the building cover is through Outsurance (an FNB company). It is also 70% more than through my short term broker.

OH WELL YOU THOUGHT IT WAS THAT EASY. They came back to me & said they can not accept the new cover as the house value is too low. WHAT DO YOU NOT GET, HOW MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS MUST I TELL YOU THAT YOUR VALUES ARE ESCALATING UNREALISTICALLY. I PROVIDED A MARKET RELATED CERTIFICATE. They also advised if I pay for a valuation through FNB at R1400 then they will lower my Outsurance premium.

I will not be held over a barrel. I will have the valuation done, but WILL NOT keep Outsurance. It is now the 26 August 2015 and every day our refund gets less and less. Nobody gets back to me.

And this service for an FNB private client!. They are pathetic
