FNB Home Loans - Worst Provider in the Country

On 2 separate occasions now I have app**** to FNB, amongst others, for a home loan. The first time around I was a Platinum account holder for a few years and had several of their products including investments and vehicle finance, all with a good payment history. Despite all of this, FNB was the only bank to decline my application. This was after I had explained the difficult personal situation I was facing at the time and pleading for their understanding. I was therefore left with no alternative and had to take the offer from another institution. This year I had made the switch to private client. I was given all the bells and whistles, or so I thought and honestly believed that this new status carried some weight. I found out that it was just as meaningless as the platinum account. This time they offered me a rate 2% higher than the other institutions! I threatened to close all my accounts if they didn't reconsider and their arrogant response was that it due to market conditions and there's nothing they can do! Is this what FNB is all about? They can take your money but when it comes to lending, they are the worst of all the institutions! Clearly others value me more.
