FNB home loans ****ing me
I am very disappointed with the service I got from FNB home loans. In fact I need answers from FNB home loans. Here is my story, In October 2021 I saw a house that I liked and oober home loans was kind enough to assist me campare bank prices and interests. After reviewing all the interest it came down to FNB home loans which offered give me at a monthly repayment installment of 9000 and interest of 7.64 because I bank with them. Then the day came for me to go and sign for registration of my house. As I was reading a huge pile of papers I notice that it was writen that my monthly repayment is 10000 per month. I immediately told the lady (secretary to FNB lawyer) that I did not agree to this. The secretary was as comfused as me because all the other papers I was signing were written my monthly repayment will be 9000. I was hesitant to sign something I did not agree to but the lady (secretary) said I can scratch out the amount that was on the paper and write the amount that I agreed upon with FNB and sign next to the scratched text. I did just that. After the house registration was finalised I got a notification from the bank saying there are changes to my monthly repayment that I need to agree to. I looked at the changes it was saying I will pay a monthly installment of 9000 it also said the innitial amount which is due on the 15th of March will be 10400 so I agreed to this because it was telling me I will be paying an installment of 9000 which is something I agreed on the only thing different was the innitial amount. Then suddenly I get a letter from FNB home loans saying I have agreed to changes that say I will be paying monthy installment of 10 000 and the interest of 9.12.At first I thought oh maybe this will apply to the first month only nothing to worry about But this kept bothering me because it was not sayingabything about the 9000 installment I was expecting to see so I decided to contact FNB home loans and I was answered by a lady who told me that there was another quote from FNB that was offered to me because there was an increase on Prime. I asked her when was this quote sent to me because I never agreed to such, I never in a million years would have agreed to that. Because I wouldnt afford that.
FNB home loans mis represented themselves because they wanted me to choose their offer then decided to change the quote without discussing it with me. I will not take this lying down I need answers.
Im so disappointing to think that I have been loyal to this bank for so many years and they repay me with this. I still have the quote that I agreed to, I never agreed to the interest of 9.12 I agreed to a quote of 7.64. All the other banks were offering me interests raging from 8.2 to 8.5 I could have chosen any of them but I chose FNB because they showed me an attractive offer and promised me I will get lesser interest since I bank with them. This is a **** andifuni kungatsho
