FNB Home Loans I Give Up - Dont Bother If You Are a foreigner even with permanent residence/fnb private client

I am a south african permanent resident and my husband has a critical s****s visa - still valid until 2021. My first contact with home loans was on the 7th of december - i called the call centre and i was told i need to complete an online application on fnppropertyleader for my home loan. and someone would contact me. so i went online and captured my application - while i was in the middle of uploading my documents - it said application was declined. There was a name of a consultant and a phone number and no reason why it was declined. so i tried calling the agent and there was no answer.

Since im a fnb private client - i decided to try and call my banker. i only got a call back after a few days. after explaining what had happened the banker ensured me she would get my applpication sorted out via a homeloans specialist. i sent all my documents to the banker and thesee documents were in turn forwarded to the home loans specialist. i called the agent to explain that im a foreigner with permanent residence and that i had attempted an online application as per instruction i had received and that it had failed to go through and that i hadnt receieved the reason why. the homeloans specialist said he would look at the existing application and find out why it was declined and pick it up from there. and that since the 16th of december is a holiday - i would expect a response the following monday.

waited patiently and got an email saying application submitted by homeloans specialist was declined because it was a duplicate application. which i had already told said specialist about and he referred me back to the first agent whom i couldnt get hold of to begin with.

So again i contacted banker who then says a new homeloan agent will be assigned my application. the new agent requested documents which again i sent through. then when i follow up with the application lo and behold application is back with first home loan specialist.

i then call my banker again and she says no she has confirmed that the agent on the original online application which was declined is now looking at it. So 14 days after i first engaged with FNB someone is finally looking at my application.

Then we hear because my husband is not a permanent resident we can only apply for 50% even though i am a permament resident. FNB managed to waste 14 days of my time and money i spent calling different agents and call centres. Why would FNB give me a credit card with 100 000 balance when i had a temporary resident permit and i cant get home loan for the full amount.

why would wesbank still part of FNB group give me a vehicle loan on temporary resident permit but off course i cant get a home loan because my husband still has temporary residence visa.

So its ok to give me meaningless credit but when i need to buy a home i cant. why waste my time with all these call centre calls and filling out countless applications forms being transferred from one "specialist" to another for no reason. it doesnt mean anything that we both have been banking with FNB for years and years and that we are so called private clients but we obviously cant get a home loan. i am just speechless. please dont respond to give me a reference number that i must start calling call centres again. please dont call me to apologise for the poor customerr service i have received. only call me if you can offer me a proper home loan like all south africa residents are entitled to.
