FNB Home Loans Division has the worst customer service - STAY AWAY.
Home Loans division has the worst customer service ever. Try by all means to avoid them if you want peace of mind.
On 23 October a double debit went through my account and I contacted them on Saturday 24 October. I spoke to Palesa aksing them to reverse the second debit as I have other debits that need to go off my account and will be rejected if there are not enough funds. She promised to send me a withdrawal form to fill and told me the process will take 48 hours. I agreed on this and the ref number for the call is Rw***. The only form I received after the call was a Debit Order Authorisation form.
Monday, 26 October I then contacted FNB again trying to get this sorted. ***. The lady I spoke to (Nozibele Mdima) told me the process will take up to 14 days and there is nothing she could or her comapny can do as this is their policy. At this point I asked to speak to her supervisor or manager on duty as I did not understand why now must I go through all this trouble to resolve mistakes made by the bank. It seems this bank does not care about their clients and I feel they need to change their slogan to "How can we F***K you"
Since Nozibele could not put me to he supervisor, saying the supervisor will not do anything to help she transferred me to Collections department. An agent from collections ( (Slindile, voice was so low I could barely hear her name) kept me on hold for about 5 minutes before I dropped the call. I called again 5 minutes later and spoke to another agent (Kgabo -her voice was very soft as well) who asked that I stay on the call while she is checking, this again took more than 6 minutes and I had to drop the call again.
No one even bothered to call back or follow up checking if the problem was resolved or not. The issue is still not resolved, second debit has not been reversed.
If you are reading this and thinking of taking a home loan with FNB, think again.
