FNB Home Loans definately the worst to deal with - STAY AWAY
This is probably the worst experience of my life. Jumping on the low interest rate ship early in July we took the plunge to buy a house.
Everything was approved from FNB not too long after that but the issue is now after numerous attempts to get a Debi check mandate sent to me (i went to the attorneys 3 times to sign) they still cant see the documents i signed 3 times. This is the most painful experience ever and i must admit that i will definitely review my relationship with this bank in the near future.
I probably phoned 15 times already and everyone in their call center is reading from a script saying "it will take 24 - 48 hours "
When pointing out that it's been 48 hours they will "escalate" to someone (no one can ever tell who this is) and then promise that they will phone back in 24 hours. Guess what...when you follow up 24 hours later, they will "escalate" it again. It's been escalated so many time with no response that Jacques Cilliers will be aware of me already.
UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
Today i received an update on the Lexis portal and noticed that the dates were changed to make the timelines look better
The dates changed as follows:
Instruction Received: Old date: 31 July 2020 --- New Date: 31 July 2020
Documents Drawn: Old Date: 16 October 2020 --- New Date: 17 November 2020
Mortgagor Signed Documents: Old Date: 27 October 2020 --- New Date: 18 November 2020
Guarantees Issued: Old Date: 04 November 2020 --- New Date: 18 November 2020
Payment of Costs: Old Date: 06 August 2020 --- New Date: 17 November 2020
I always thought FNB was the best bank and as a proud client always spoke highly of this institution. My view changed completely over the past 3 months and the worst is it could've been prevented.
