Fnb home loan worst first time buyer experience.
Fnb home loan worst first time buyer experience.
10/11 a branch visit appointment was made to meet a consultant to apply for a home loan at fnb Galeria amanzimtoti. After 2 hours or more trying to apply for a load via the app,the consultant failed to complete the process. While seeking advice from team members and calling the home loans department. She was unsuccessful. I left the branch and did it on my own. 15/11 my application was made and documents submitted. 17/11 a consultant from the home loans department contacted me with regards to all my documents not being submitted. All documents was then resubmitted on the 17/11. A reference number as send to me. A week later I tracked my application via the app to see that it has not moved from one department yet. 23/11 I sent a message to my personal banker which in return stated they do not deal with home loads and she will transfer me to that department. After 20mins on hold a consultant opened up my profile and said that my consultant named Patricia Thutlwane did not upload any of my documents. She was unable to help and sent an email to Patricia to follow up. I then made a branch visit to fnb Galeria on arrival the manager stated that they can't assist with the matter all they can do is call the home loans department and let me speak to them. Spoke to Nyirenda Puseletso she requested I send all documents again to her as nothing was on the system. So all documents was submitted again. While on the call with Puseletso. I received a call from Patricia stating that my application had documentation that was outstanding. I then asked what was missing, reply was offer to purchase. I then asked her to open all the files and she then stated OK I SEE IT NOW IT IS HERE SORRY I DID NOT SEE IT. I did advised her that I'm going to lose the property if I do not get the loan in 48 hours. She then appoligied and said she will contact me later to give me feed back. To date I sit with no feedback. As a client for all my life banking with fnb this is the treatment i have been given. I've been approved by absa and SA homelands in just 6 working days. And thinking my own bank would do better and help me as a loyal client. FNB you have consultants that a poorly trained and the set up of your business is terrible. Each branch should have at least one consultant trained to handle different departments. Chatting to consultants over the phone is off no use and unprofessional. I had the opportunity to meet face to face, ask questions and be treated with respect from absa home loans consultant, that's how banking should be done. I hope this helps others reading wanting to apply for a home loan from fnd.
