FNB Home Loan
I need to select one star because this is the only way you can write a review. otherwise my rating will be ZERO!!!!!!,
Firstly i have been an customer of FNB since i got out of school in 2012. I have never been disappointed with there service and dedication to assist where the can. I made my parents move there account to FNB and several other customers that FNB obtained since.
I have with FNB the following accounts
Cheque account (One with me and one with my wife) Credit card (Always in good standing) Revolving loan (As a backup in very good standing) Overdraft (Always in good standing) Car finance
BUT !!!
Now that i am in an financial state and have the opportunity to buy my first home ( FOR a very good price) they are not coming to the party. I used better bonds to assist me with the best deal that i could get. i told them that i want to stay with FNB if the can give me the best offer as i have been with them for some time.
On Thursday i have received feedback from multiple banks. as follow. Standard bank - 11.09% interest rate and 100% Loan amount. FNB - 13.30% interest rate and 80% Loan amount.
After this was a big disappointment i told Better Bonds to accept the offer from Standard bank.
On Friday FNB call me asking why, I did explain to them that I would love to stay with FNB, The just need to give me the same offer. They said that the will sent an Assessor to the property to view and the review the offer. Yesterday the assessor was there and now they need the Building plans. The seller of the house can not supply me with building plans and need to get it at Municipality (That will take some time). I do not have time to wait as Standard back have already assigned Attorneys to my home loan. I tried explaining to the lady from FNB Home Loans Sales but se just rudely said that she will make a note.
So FNB thanks for all you have done for me sadly you will lose a customer as I will cancel all my accounts with FNB then and move to standard bank. I Do not like having multiple banks to manage my finances
