FNB Home Loan Admin sucks....!

FNB Home Loan Admin sucks....!

I have a home loan for over 10 years and am well in advance, so much so that at one stage I had a + balance, told to withdraw funds to be in debt to keep facility active. This I did so that I have access to my funds should I so need especially given the favourable interest rates; I was in formed that I would have to pay a monthly service fee which was no problem and in June paid +- 45 times the required amount of a mere R45. Received a statement on 16 June reflecting my balance (less than R600), the loan details including the available funds being equal to the original bond value as expected, no problem.

To my surprise, I received an SMS on 2 weeks later to advice that facility has been frozen and needed to contact them which I immediately did only to be told that I did not pay this months service fee (R43) and that they cancelled my facility, I needed to pay it which I immediately did and then to call another number to have it reinstated which I did.

Surprise, surprize I get told tough and that it did not matter what my track record was, whether I omitted to pay even R1 that is the rule and that was that. They also advised that I would be able to get my facility reinstated on same terms etc etc but would investigate further to which I would receive a reference number immediately via email (still waiting) and that I the matter would be resolved within 48 hours, joke (seems like that was a ploy to end the call)!

No warnings, merely 5 days overdue and less than R50, no insight nor foresight just cancel; no cognisance of other FNB business nor any understanding whatsoever.

I warned that that I would go public and if not resolved would move my accounts from FNB; this is the first step in hoping that they would come to there senses.

So lets see.
