FNB Home Affairs terrible, very upsetting
DO NOT USE FNB Home Affairs service, you will regret it ! ! DO NOT USE FNB Home Affairs service, you will regret it ! !
I lodged an application for my smart card ID sincr last year (2021) then the application expired, I had to create a new one. I have gone onto the website every day, twice a day to try and get an appointment at FNB Merchant Bank in Sandton. There have been no slots available. I went into the branch last year and got treated poorly and turned away with no one hearing we can't get an appointment on the website then the first application expired. Today(14/4/2022) I went to the bank again to explain I can't get an appointment but please help after making a second application. There was literally 3 of us in the que at 11.30 am and the guy refused to assist without an appointment, I am explaining several times I cannot get one since last year instead he took a couple behind me without an appointment and refused me point blank. Pathetic to be treated like this after with banking with FNB that offers these services but get treated poorly by the FNB employee and the guy from DHA. Just don't use these people . It was hurtful my frustration was not given any empathy and after showing on my phone there is no appointments and my payment is done but all I need is the biometrics, they refused causing much upset and frustration for me driving out again. This is a poor reflection of FNB employee and the person from department of home Affairs treating me like I am illiterate that is why I cannot make an appointment and apart from that took time to argue with me but instead if helping me. He had no one behind me for the smart card ID. I even said I will wait but please assist as I drove out and it's costly. He just gave a damn together with the FNB employees looking on.
