FNB holding on to large payments without any effort to contact recipients to verify source of funds
An Attorney with a trust acc at FNB paid and cleared R 1.96m yesterday but despite all my efforts (secure chat, branch visit, careline) I was informed that my acc will be frozen. Maretha was excelent as usuall but FNB also hanged on to another 500k payment from a FNB acc saying a week ago saying that the payer must take it up with their bankers which they did. Is this a new way of FNB making interest??

FNB staff member at new Smart Block division admitting that they hang on to larte payments (gaining interest) and leave the onus on the payer and/recipient to contact them which takes an hour according to the attorney who's trust acc is also with FNB. Deliberatly not contacting eiether party. ***NF
