FNB Holding my family hostage

<p>My family has desperately been trying to complete a land sale for the past several months, but the process has been stalled because FNB is being very shady;</p> <p>The title deeds officer informed us that there are 2 bonds for the properties in my late father's name - one with FNB and one with Standard Bank. Since December of 2016, the estate executor has been communicating with FNB enquire about this bond:</p> <p>* does it exist?</p> <p>*If so, how much is owed?</p> <p>*Please provide written proof of this, so that we can arrange payment and move forward.</p> <p>*If not, please provide a cancellation letter that we can give the title deeds officer, so that we can move forward.</p> <p>All that FNB has managed to do (on several occasions after our several attempts) is CONFIRM that there is NO BOND in my father's name at their financial institute, and yet they are very reluctant to issue us an official letter stating so. Instead we are constantly sent on fruitless wild-goose chaces, and we are passed on from consultant to consultant like a hot potato. When we went directly to one of their branches to try and resolve the matter once and for all, we were advised that there is no in-house bond processing and that we must instead call the FNB hotline?</p> <p> </p> <p>What is going on??</p> <p>If there is no bond, why will you not give us the letter confirming this?</p> <p>It has been 7 MONTHS and NO ONE has ANY answers. </p> <p> </p>
