FNB has no respect for people with disabilities

Earlier today I visited the FNB branch In Ottery Western Cape. A sweet lady staff member at the door approach me to ask if I needed assistance. I told her that I’d like to open up an account and that I have my ID and the only proof of residence that I have was that from a government hospital. That’s all I could provide as proof because I’m unemployed and been diagnosed with a mental illness in 2016. So I don’t have anything else. She went to the manager and asked if I could use it. The manager agreed that I can use. So I patiently waited for my turn. When it was my turn. I was assisted by the meanest and most disrespectful banking staff member I had ever come across. She asked if I had another form of proof of residency. I said no and she said she can’t accept it. Then I told her that I got approval from the branch manager to use it. She rudely made it clear that she won’t accept it. Then she asked if I had a letter from any accounts or maybe something from the traffic department. Which I told her I did not. Even the lady staff member that helped me at the entrance told her that the manager said it was fine. She still rudely did not want to accept it. She made me look like a damn fool in front of everybody. Then she went to the manager. She wanted to prove a point and embarrass me. She then came back and very rudely again said that she won’t accept me proof. She did not evens say if the manager said so. I’ve asked someone over the weekend that use to work at FNB. Whether I could use that letter as proof. And she said I needed to speak to the branch manager about that. Which was done and agreed upon that I could use it. FNB does not care about the funds o had to use getting nor do they realize how hard it was for me to control not having a panic attack.

Is this truly how FNB treats people with disabilities? Do FNB train staff to embarrass people like me? Does that rude lady relies that her actions caused that I feel like a useless piece of **** right now? Does she relies that right now because of the embarrassment she put me through and her rude behaviour. That it made me anxious and depressed and I’m in a really unstable state right now. Most of all does she and FNB relies that because of the state I’m in right now. I feel like committing suicide and now I have to fight with myself and try not to hurt or try to **** my.

There are no words of apology that FNB can say right now to make me feel better. Or evens stop my mind from telling me to end the pain.

FNB you’ve hurt me and pushed me back into a state of having anxiety and depression again. A state that took weeks for me to get through
