FNB has failed to assist
I've been twice to the FNB branches to ask whether they could either deactivate the tap and go feature, or at least request a pin. Both times I was assured that in a few hours or at most 2-3 days, a pin would be requested. Both times I had wasted my leave days in the bank. FNB does not seem to allow these changes to be made online. I was informed by a colleague that I can change it on the FNB app. Why not on online banking?? I downloaded the app but it prompted requests for my card number and pin. I stopped. I am strongly considering changing banks.
