FNB has a sucking business.
I m sick and tired of this FNB, last monthly I complaint of Item 03 on my statement of R450.00, this month there is Item Item 03 for R240.00 again and the funny part is that I had a positive balance on my on account yet there is this charger. My running balance was R13 when this was charged.

03 Sept 2020, 16:03I complaint to FNB for the Item 3 on my statement and this was their response:
Dear Mr Chiloane
We refer to your complaint regarding the item paid fee.
#ITEM PAID 3 ITEMS ON 240.00- 09/02
In order to address your concerns, we thought it best to first explain how card purchases are processed.
If a merchant’s point of sale device prompts a client to enter a PIN, it would dial through to FNB to request authorization (the system merely does an available balance check, and if you have sufficient funds available, the transaction would approve, and FNB would then “reserve” the amount that authorization was sought for, which then triggers the “reserved for payment” SMS).
At this stage, the transaction has not yet been processed, and when the merchant presents that particular payment to FNB for processing, it then releases the amount from the “reserved” bucket & processes the transaction on the client’s actual transaction history/statement.
Please note that the fee in question was due to the transactions paid when you had insufficient funds in your account:
PURCH 20.00 iqoption. 350.16- 09/01 76.45-
PURCH 20.00 iqoption. 350.16- 09/01 426.61-
PURCH 15.00 iqoption. 261.54- 09/02 7.84-
I did not have any negative amounts on my balance form 15 August until 03 September. this is not the first time they take my money.
