FNB GUARANTEES DIVISION

I am immensely disappointed in FNB Guarantees Division .I had to cancel a guarantee due to a development being delayed .The guarantee was valid for a year .I requested a refund based on the fact that Covid 19 happened and hence delaying the process of this development .They were quick to cancel on instruction from the conveyancing attorney but did not unblock the funds on my account .I had to make contact twice to remind them (highly frustrating ) .I have been back and forth with my private banker to help resolve -turnaround times from her were totally unacceptable (I had to do constant follow ups) . Today I was offered a part minimal refund as they claim the guarantee was valid for 6 months (not so). I am at my wits end. FNB ,as a loyal client of the bank for over 30 years ,I would expect a bit more flexibility from your side given current circumstances. Your staff have become extremely complacent.
