FNB going backwards

I just got the below notification from FNB. Sadly, this is just another example of banks doing less for their clients yet charging more for services. Can FNB explain to me how me having to go online and download my statement is more convenient for me and saving me time and money? It is in fact the opposite of all those three. I received this notification for my credit card, if they implement the same for business bank accounts then I will have to access 5 different banking profiles and download 11 statements each month just to get my statements. Emailing statements should be such a simple automated task on their part. Passing this onto the consumer - really? More convenient, saving you time and money - definitely not! After 30 years of banking with Standard I changed to FNB because they were more in touch with their clients. But now, a few years down the line, they are just the same. It's no wonder Capitec is hammering the traditional big 4 - they are so arrogant towards their clients - it's all about quarterly profits and boosting share value.

At FNB, we are dedicated to offering you services that make the way you bank more convenient, saving you time and money. For your convenience, you can access statements via the FNB App and Online Banking.

From 1 July 2020, your statements will no longer be sent via email.

It's now nearly a month gone by and no feedback has been provided, BUT I have received another "for my convenience" email on another account. Brilliant stuff FNB. Keep up the great customer relations!!
