FNB Global Account
I opened an FNB Global Account, because I was relocating to the Isle of Man for work. I put money into the account so that I didn't have to carry around a massive amount of money with me. When I got to Manchester Airport, I tried to use the card to pay for drinks at a coffee shop and to my horror, the card PIN did not work. "Invalid PIN". I figured that I would sort it out on the Isle of Man and didn't worry about it too much. Various phone calls to FNB Forex and FNB Premier Banking have come up fruitless. They kept giving me solutions that didn't work, like using the PIN again, which caused a PIN block on the Isle of Man, but that they could not see on their side. I was finally forced to move my funds to my Premier Cheque Account, because FNB could not get my PIN on the Global Account card sorted. I put money into the Global Account at R19 to £1 and I am getting out about R17 to £1 now that I'm moving the money. Such fun losing money because the most technologically advanced bank in South Africa, can't/won't help a client who is outside the country. Forex passed me to Premier banking, who although eager to assist, could not. I would like to be reimbursed for the money that I've lost due to FNB not being able to sort out my issue. Today is day 8 and they have still not been able to sort it out. I need to contacted about this via email, but I'm sure that FNB won't bother to respond.
