FNB Global Account

FNB advised me to open a global account to be able to receive euros and keep it in Euros. Needless to say, they convert the Euros into Rands and then FNB asks you for a ZAR account to transfer the money into. I assume FNB wants to make money from the exchange rate. After numerous phone calls and emails and speaking to managment, they claim it is my problem to resolve with an intermitting agent. Every month it is the same story. I did not appoint their intermitting agent, they themselves did. The bank has the contract & contact with the agent, not me. What is even more concerning is FNB uses Absa as an Instructing agent. So if you are thinking about opening a FNB global account, do yourself a favour and approach Absa (or their competitors) from the start. It will save you a lot of frustrations. I hope the Head of FNB forex reads this. The support team is pathetic and since opening the account 6 months ago, I have not successfully received 1 euro in my account. Despite doing everything FNB advises me to do. If you consider opening a global / forgein / USD / Euro account, please try anyone else and use FNB as your very last resort.if I was able to post all the emails and screenshots, I would have gladly done so.
