FNB /GLA

apologies for writing this now with all that is going on but it does show how low and ********* conduct by a company that should know the law but yet makes there own its a long story but i will shorten it but i have to vent my frustration somewhere in 2007 i had a very good business and was doing well banking with FNB for the last 40 yrs and bought houses cars and had a great credit rating but due to the economic climate just after 9/11 my business basically stopped totally in 1 year went from 300km to 0 km in a very short time much like a very expensive sports car when braking so my house was almost paid but because of no funds from my clients which where mostly from overseas as i was earning $ i started to struggle to keep up my lifestyle so slowly withdrew from my bond to live hoping it would come right but alas it did not and eventually the bank took my house and i lost everything ,only thing i could not pay was my FNB credit card , I informed FNB about this and told them i was broke so i left it , In 2009 i got a letter from the above saying they had a handover fee from FNB for R90 000 which they want to collect ,at first i was surprised by the amount as my credit card was not that high but they made threats and i started paying what i could i did ask for a complete breakdown of how it got to that amount still to this day i have never received this and i have asked many times eventually it got really rough and i could only pay R20 as i was totally unemployed and could not find anything else to do and re**** on family to help which they still do now as it just got worse as i became very ill and could not find work anyway but i still paid my R20 up to date i have paid R25000 but according to the lavish invoice supp**** by the above i still owed R176000.00 with all the added interest and phone calls and sms ect they know my position there is no way i can pay that back in my lifetime 58 with a chronic illness supported by family so i stopped paying for 3 months as i was very ill this is when the harassment started with SMS phone calls on Sat threats i must pay my R20 and i thought ok give me my breakdown i have been asking for for 11 years and i might think about it so i waited and got 3 old credit card statements from 1997 saying i owed R3300 and a letter with the handover fee with no breakdown ,so i said it seems like i owe you R3300 but i paid R25000 so you owe me roughly R21000 but all i got was more letters with threats like we know you own property and we will attach it to your debt that IS untrue i own nothing not even a car also i put cash into a FNB that was for living but FNB converted this to a loan account and for some error the cash went into this account ,i called them to say that i need that cash to live on please return it but they refused which left me sitting in the dark for a week and not much to eat, FNB collections are not much help they are rude put you on hold and just cost you more money and time saying the lawyers must sort it out but the lawyers say FNB must sort it out i get calls from the above all the time from numbers all over the country as i have a phone tracker that tells me who is calling also messages e mails sms all to pay my R20 but i have sent many e mails to them and not one of my complaints have been sorted ,first thing this morning SMS messages calls thought people where staying at home just though after 40 years with FNB they would have helped a little but nothing even though my normal cheque account has never been in arrears for the past 40 yrs i cant get a cent overdraft because i have a bad reputation within the FNB group so no help at all but i can get small loans with loan lenders who bank with FNB as none of this is on my credit report which is clear How does a bank like FNB employ people like this and continue to say they are here to help ,in the time i have written this i have has 3 SMS 2 e mails and a missed call from GROENEWALD LUBBE it is very irritating when the country is in a crisis they should be dealt with by someone and stopped this was complaint to GLA but i never sent it to FNB also since i wrote this some time back i still get SMS from a new person from GLA asking the same things and i told here to look at the history of this case then i get a mail from some other Groenewald Located in capetown saying i qualify for a discount and only must pay R68000 cant they read seems like they cant also i would like FNB to remove this loan account from my profile i never had loan account it was a credit card how can a credit card turn into a loan account i never signed any contract like that and it does not appear in any credit report at all so i do not owe anything to FNB OR or GLA who owe me R25000 in hope something gets done hellopeter is great to voice your opinion but nothing ever gets sorted out by the reviews just stupid replies by the companies that are involved like we have seen your complaint please contact us to sort it out yet when you do nothing gets done so to hellopeter thanks for the space to vent our frustrations but it seems nobody helps anyway so whats the point
