FNB advises me to cancel the CANCELLED card!! I remind FNB that the card was reported ****** and cancelled in August 2018! 4th Jun 2019 - FNB advises me they are investigating the matter. 18 Jun 2019 - I escalate the matter to FNB Operations Manager. 19 Jun 2019 - The ********** transaction is finally cancelled by FNB. I request a refund (R219.00 x 5 months) 2 Jul - 2019 – FNB informs me that my request for refund is being investigated...
The level of incompetence at FNB is astounding. The card being referred to was reported ****** in August 2018 and was immediately cancelled. Then in January 2019 somehow the ****** and cancelled card is used to set up a debit order on my account. I asked FNB how could this is even be possible? FNB does not have an answer to this question.
FNB refuses to apologise for this obvious breach in security and refuses to give me a refund. All I ever get told is 'FNB is investigating the matter'.
I am in the process of cancelling my mortgage with FNB and as soon as I have done so, I will close all my FNB accounts and never touch the bank again. Its disgusting! Oh, and did I mention, during this 6-month saga another ********** transaction was made on my FNB account.
