FNB ********** Payments and locking of Accounts

A couple of weeks ago, I started receiving money into my personal cheque account. I did not recognize these funds that came into my account. I contacted FNB and was told that I would have to wait for the funds to clear before they could let me know whom the money came from. In total 5 amount came through totaling over R10 000. I made numerous calls to FNB to try and figure out what is going on. I even contacted the ***** department, but was told because the money went into my account, and not out my account they couldn't do much. I eventually went to my bank branch to try and figure out what is happening? They managed to get hold of another FNB client who informed them that he made payment for an internet/satellite service by a ********** company. I have no knowledge of this company, nor am I employed by them or have any dealings with them.

I requested that these 5 amounts be locked up so my debit orders etc would not take the ********** money. I also put in R1000 to cover any debit orders etc. I then received a mail from Pearl in the ***** department telling me that I am involved in alleged ***** and my account had been pledged, locking my own money and messing all my debit orders up. I have tried calling her numerous times, as well as leaving messages yet I have received no response.

Throughout this whole experience, FNB has barely contacted me and have basically made me feel like a ********. All I would like is these amounts taken out my bank account and everything to go back to normal.

I am not involved in any ********** services, yet FNB find it fair to deny access to my own accounts. It actually benifits them that this has happened as I had to open an new account for my debit orders and salary(Double the monthly payment).

I was still told by my branch that they would not lock my account, yet now it has happened.

I honestly believe that if this is not sorted out soon, I will be leaving FNB and moving to another bank as FNB are happy to believe that all customers are *********.

Please could somebody let me know what is going on as my own money is now involved in this entire situation.
