FNB - ********** debits under R100
I have received notifications of debits that will go off from my account from a ********** company. I contacted FNB who said they can only report the ***** post the debit going off my account. As a next step I asked why the SMS/notifications are set for 100R and above as there ads say FNB will notify you of debits even less than 100R. Sihle from FNB informed me this is not true as FNB only notifies of100R and above and they can do nothing from their side to change it. I am disgusted by the service. FNB is not service or customer orientated and their ads are a lie as they advertise to say they are one of the only banks which notify you of debits even less than 100R.

05 Jul 2019, 14:12The premier banking team contacted me only to say they can do nothing as I must use the APP or online banking. I am unable to use the APP or online banking and they say they cannot do anything at all. It seems like FNB is in partnership with this ***** as they decide to set the amount at 100 and then make it only changeable on the app or online which makes if easy for poor people or people without access to technology to get ******. Terrible customer service. I am made to enter my id, bank card number and pin when I phone in yet they cannot assist to change the SMS notification amount. This is unreasonable.
