FNB - ********** BANK
I am actually appalled with the service and how my dad was treated by FNB.
He was de*****ed on 15/10 and we suspect that it is an inside job, he had put through a notice on his 32 day account and the money due to be available on 14th or 15/10/19, there was no notification on his cell phone that his R20 000.00 is available in his account , all of sudden he gets a call from someone on the 15th of October posing as an FNB consultant who confirmed his account/card number, ID number and cell number, if it's not an inside job how did they get hold of all these details?
Funny enough he was advised by an FNB consultant that he should get a new card (which hadn’t expired) at South Gate mall, all of a sudden his new card number was used to de***** him.
After realizing the he has been ****med, he went to the bank (South Gate) to report the ***** the same day, they didn't want to help, clearly they (or the guy who was helping him create a new card) knew what was going on, why did they keep on skipping his number so that he can be helped? We found out that the card was used to make a purchase from Take a lot website and other companies, we contacted take a lot immediately and they advised that they will delay the process until FNB contacted them and we have no proof of how long it took FNB to contact them. My dad is a 67 years old pensioner, FNB can’t hold him liable and tell him they can’t help him after he lost so much money and has been banking with FNB for so many years, I say this is unfair treatment and needs to be sorted at least by reversing his money urgently.
