FNB *****ELENT TRANSACTIONS!!!!!!!

My mother opened a FNB savings account in NewCastle. This account was so that my father's insurance can be payed into this account. This account was opened in 1998. During 2016 my mother noticed that the charges on this account had drastically increased, she then went to the Newcastle branch where she opened the account to inquire, she was advised that her account has been upgraded to a cheque account, this happened without any communication and the branch could not tell her when exactly this upgrade had taken place. My mother with no other alternative asked the branch to close this account as she could not afford it. Now this is a 60 year old woman..... A few months later during September 2017 she received a letter from FNB stating that she owed over 3800 on this account, to all our surprise my mother had not used this account in a while and she had closed the account and she had no credit card nor a loan to explain the ridiculous amount claimed. I Then called FNB and was advised to log a complaint, which i did and was given a reference number only a cover up it seems !!!as they never bothered to contact my mother or at least explain how the outstanding amount came to be.. Every time i called for an updated i was told they are still investigating. Fast forward to 2018 February, my mother received a sms from CMC Attorneys. FNB has handed over this account . FNB praises its self for being a people's bank yet they are the very opposite. They take advantage of the poor and uneducated, sucking them dry... As of now they claim she owes over 5000 in interest .... SHOCKING!!!!!! HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD ********** TRANSACTION DONE BY FNB.
