FNB ***** OTP compromized
I would like to advise the bad experience with FNB, they don't want to help you no matter what you say or do they will find a way to not help you with a ********** case, and then very clearly tell you on a letter that this is the final verdict and if you don't like it take it up with the banking ombudsman, which will be another review. So there is no personal interaction from FNB and they do not want to talk to you.
Be careful when buying anything online with a credit card from FNB, the transaction will be verified with a OTP that will be sent to your cell number or email. And there OTP policy say that once it is sent and it is used that is final. Even if it was not you that used it, the BIG problem is that the OTP does not only get sent to your preferred method of communication but also to your online banking under messages, this to me is a breach of there security policy regarding the use of OTP.
I do agree that keeping your card and banking info save is your responsibility but with the ******** element out there getting much more clever keeping a door like this open is a big threat.
I did not receive any notification for authorizing a new device to access my online banking, how this is relevant my online detail with my credit card detail was somehow compromised and without any of the security measures to authorize they accessed my account to gain the OTP and make a online purchase, FNB rep**** sorry OTP sent and used, and this happened in March and between FNB and the banking ombudsman this is still on going with no one from FNB even wanting to talk or listen.
I just want the opportunity to state my case with someone at FNB I really dont see why all this red tape and the unwillingness to talk to there clients
