FNB ***** is not helpful at all.

I received a notification through the FNB app that an amount of 122.22 was paid to a Steers branch in Pinetown. This was troublesome as I have never used this particular restaurant. I immediately called the ***** hotline to query this transaction .

The agent was surprised to find that the card used to make this transaction WAS NOT linked to my FNB profile and probably was an old card which was inactive.

My active credit and Cheque cards were in my possession. He gave me that card number since I didn’t know it to fill out the ***** form which I did.

I heard nothing back from FNB and felt unsafe that my account was compromised. I called the ***** line to follow up. They escalated the matter. Today I received a response that FNB was not liable for this ********** account. I’m left speechless.

If FNB can answer me one question: How does somebody use an inactive card to access funds in my account?!

I don’t feel safe transacting using this account until someone can answer me that.
