FNB ***** Debit and Credit Card

I can almost copy Mandla M's (11 Feb 2019) experience with FNB. Same treatment, same response (or rather no response), same excuses of not reimbursing money withdrawn on my Cheque account & daughter's savings account but used my credit card to gain access to both accounts although it was not linked at all at Atm. My purse was ****** on 10th of August at Church and only realised it when Sms came through of both withdrawals. FNB said I did not cancel my cards before withdrawals were made (bit difficult to do so if you were not aware of it. And they used my pin - how I do not know because it was nowhere written down. Fnb suggested that I can claim it from my insurance all risk claim - easy way out for Fnb. And the fact that they worked through my credit card proved that they used a more sophisticated system. Debit card ***** claim: Deadlock status but I referred it to Ombudsman. Credit card ***** claim: Submitted it 14 Aug - no acknowledgement of e mail, tried to follow up with ***** claim consultants - a useless and clueless bunch. Resend same Credit Claim today. App**** for Credit card on 10 August (as replacement for the one that was ******) - still waiting for new card to be delivered and in the meantime cannot access that account. I won't recommend FNB as a bank to be trusted with your money. My husband's 2nd Absa credit which was in my purse also, was used for withdrawals (daily limit was increased by *******) and shopping to the amount of just under R22 000. After a Credit ***** claim was submitted to Abss, no questions were asked and money was refunded this week with an apology for any inconvenience caused and thanked him for his patience in this regard. Thumbs up Absa. He was not treated as the ******** who needed to prove anything because they are clearly aware of the methods being used to gain access to your personal profile - seems to me Fnb is not at all aware of such methods? Maybe they should organise a meeting with Absa's ***** Dept - to bring them up to date and train their ***** Dept Consultants. There is just no communication or urgency in this matter, do not even think they review each case and just reply with a standard letter - hoping the client will leave it. Surprise - I will not!

Still no "feedback shortly" as per message from Fnb. Pathetic service (or no service) so far!
