Fnb *****

I'm not happy with the decision that was made, How was I suppose to know the email I got from fnb was a *****. FNB is playing with customers, I trusted them with my money and they failed to protect it. Now after the long wait this happened 31 May 2018 , they just called to tell me I won't be getting my money back (R5000), I'm so hurt, frustrated and disappointed by FNB, I must change my bank account, its for the best I don't need all this stress mxm

Reviewer Update
We refer to the above-mentioned matter which was reported to the FNB ***** Department (hereinafter referred to as “us”, “we” or “the Bank”) on the 31st of May 2018. Our understanding of your complaint is that on the 31st of May 2018, there were payments processed from your account via the Banking App platform. In your report, you advised that you received an email purporting to be from the Bank advising you to upgrade your FNB account for the new online security. The email further advised that a circular was passed by the Reserve Bank and to continue using Online Banking services you had to click on the link for the upgrade and to avoid deactivation of your internet banking services and ***** mitigation. You confirmed to having clicked on the link. You further confirmed that you received the One-Time-Pin (“OTP”) which was sent to your cellphone number ********** 251 and entered this OTP on the link. The OTP was used to link a ********** Banking App. The ********** transactions processed were to the value of R5, 000.00 (Five Thousand Rands Only). Unfortunately, there were no recoveries and therefore the loss is for your account. The Online Banking event logs on your profile show that there were no changes made to your Online Banking username and password which suggests that the perpetrator/s were armed with your login credentials which enabled them to process the payments. We can therefore only conclude that you knowingly or unknowingly disclosed these details to a third party. When you access and make use of your Online Banking profile, you agreed to accept, adhere to and be bound by our Online Banking terms and conditions (“the Remote Banking Agreement”). We therefore kindly draw First National Bank – a division of FirstRand Bank Limited. An Authorised Financial Services and Credit Provider (NCRCP20). Reg. No. ***.
