FNB FORT BEAUFORT **********
Good day On the 5th of October 2018 around 9 am my father went to withdraw money at FNB Atm at Fort Beaufort using my mothers bank card and my mother was waiting in the car. He inserted the card and punched in the pin and nothing happened card did not come back and he quickly called my mother to stand at the ATM whilst she he goes inside to look for help as there was no SECURITY. When he approach the one of the staff inside the branch he was told that my mother (His wife) must come inside the back with her ID Book which she did. On her arrival she went straight to the teller and told the teller that her card is swallowed by the ATM can he atleast block it whilst waiting for them to give her new card. The teller told her to stand on the queue she will be assisted instead of blocking the card immediately (STAFF NEGLENENCE). She did as she was told stood on the queue and by the time they assisted her the money was gone from her account. Firstly my mother is 56 years old and illiterate. I she called me and I called the bank and spoke to Vuyiseka who promised me that they will sort the matter within 7-14 days. A claim has been logged by her colleague who I had no interaction with. After almost a month with no response from FNB I followed with Head Office claims department and was told they still busy assessing the claim. They did not call my mother to give feedback she had to go to her branch in Cape Town where they showed her the claim was rejected. I phone lodged a complaint with FNB and the Fort Beaufort Manager Neal Van Dyk phoned after our conversation he said he will follow up with the staff that was Monday Tuesday 20 November 2018. I had to phone him to follow up and he said the staff are claiming that there was a communication bearer between them and my mother (very confusing my mother is Xhosa speaking and so are they) and they saying she never told them the card was swallowed by the machine only at the later stage she did (LIES). And there is nothing they can do to assist. I have a strong feeling that they are working close with those ******** ********* who clone peoples card!
