FNB "forgot" to update my credit record

I had a personal loan that I fell in arrears with in 2014 due to unemployment. I started repaying as soon as I could, and settled the loan in September 2016. I phoned the loan department in FNB to make sure that the debt has been settled. They assured me it was, and that they would inform the credit bureau that the matter was settled.

Fast forward 4 or 5 months. I was denied vehicle finance this morning because FNB NEVER UPDATED MY CREDIT PROFILE WITH THE CREDIT BUREAUS AND IT NOW REFLECTS AS AN ACCOUNT IN BAD STANDING!!!!!

thanks for absolutely nothing, FNB!
