FNB FORGED my signature & Cancel protection policies- To justify the rejection of my claims.
On June 26, 2020, I lost my income due to what I believe was unfair treatment by the group. I followed the appropriate procedures to claim benefits for my personal loans, credit card, and overdraft. However, I was wrongfully offered a COVID-19 relief loan, which I never app**** for as i was unemployed.
According to my records, I had coverage for all my credit obligations, making me eligible to claim under the contract I had signed. I did not intend to leave my job but was affected by headcount reductions, which I believe was a tactic to justify my retrenchment.
My claims were denied due to *****ulent activities, where my credit policies were canceled using a forged signature. Additionally, a policy on my credit card was converted to life cover without my knowledge or consent. Yalu confirmed that I had credit protection on my credit card, although FNB claims they initiated the protection policies.
Here are the terms and conditions of the policies: FNB Credit Card Debt Protection: Automatic debt protection covers customers for the outstanding balance on their credit card in the event of death or permanent disability, up to a specified maximum. I do not recall canceling this. Overdraft (Cheque Account ***): Debt Protection Plan has been in place since March 31, 2016. Personal Loan Contract (Reference Number ***): Agreement signed on June 26, 2019, covering instalments, principal debt, interest, fees, credit life insurance, and VAT (Total Cost of Credit). Loans: The Debt Protection Plan for my FNB Overdraft, previously insured by MMI Group Limited, was transferred to FirstRand Life Assurance Limited. The policy terms and conditions remained unchanged. If a claim is rejected, a written response must be submitted within 90 days, explaining why I believe I am entitled to the benefit. This can be sent via email to *** or by fax to ***. If unsatisfied with the response, the matter may be referred to the Long-Term Insurance Ombudsman.
The impacted accounts are:
Personal Loan: *** Cheque *** Credit Card: ***32 8000 Personal Loan: *** I urgently request that this matter be resolved. As I currently have no income, your immediate attention is crucial. I have also opened a police case (2022-01/426) regarding this *****, which remains unresolved.
Given that my signature was forged, resulting in *****ulent activities, I demand that FNB write off the outstanding balances on the affected accounts and cover all legal fees I have incurred as a result of their actions. Furthermore, this is an internal issue that FNB must address by prosecuting those involved in *****ulent activities and assisting the relevant authorities. Additionally, FNB must remove all unfair listings from the credit bureaus immediately.
