FNB Forex - where is my money?

In a nutshell the following transpired:

· I have made a forex payment for a substantial amount.

· On discovery that I might have made an error on the entry I then called the call centre to enquire whether the payment can still be cancelled and redone. I was thus informed that indeed the entry will be cancelled and that I can redo the payment immediately.

· On attempting to redo the payment I noticed that there was insufficient funds in my account and I thus called the FNB call centre again. On discussing the issue they concluded that there was a system error (the funds appeared to be suspended and not payed to the vendor) and that it would take 3-4 days to investigate and correct.

· I then informed them that payment had to be made that day otherwise we would lose the bookings.

· Given that confirmation was received that the payment was cancelled or that a possible system error had occurred I had made a subsequent payment so as not to lose the bookings.

· I have been engaging with the FNB staff for the past 2 weeks and keep getting informed that it is being investigated. and what is strange is that no call centre log of what has transpired can be found

No one from FNB has called me or made any effort to appease my stress or give me any concrete information.
