FNB forcing one to have a savings account si they charge you high fees
Not happy with FNB and their bank charges. I have a savings and credit card account. I use the savings account to transfer money into the credit card. I was horrified to be charged R500 monthly fees for the savings account. I wanted to get rrid of the savings account and deposit into the credit card account from another bank. Unfortunately you cannot add a credit card to your beneficiary list in any banking app. I tried to deposit cash into the FNB credit card but not possible. It looks like FNB forces you to have a savings account which they can charge high banking fees for .

17 Dec 2024, 15:38Problem solved - on the FNB app the account is called "savings" account - but it is actually a CURRENT acvount which explains the high fees. Have to change it to easy acvount with lower fees which will take a week ir so which us fine.
