FNB Forcing Clients to upgrade to Private. Sneaky!

FNB is very very sneaky with their agreements, they are determined to have a client upgrade to Private. It has happened to me twice now where I requested a Credit Card increase, specifically request an 'Increase only' and end up being upgraded to Private at the same time. Then told by their staff "oh but you signed the agreement". Very sneaky guys! They sneak the clause of an upgrade into their agreement then put it on you for not reading the agreement thoroughly. Last time I let it go and went a head with the upgrade and it wasnt worth the bank fees. Your Private Banker never responds to you, they push you onto someone else. They half **** it when filling a request. No where near the standards of Discovery or Investec. So I moved my primary bank over to Discovery and been happy ever since. I then downgraded my FNB back to gold and that in itself what a story. In March I asked for my Accounts to be downgraded back to gold and merged into a Fusion account to max my ebuck rewards. Suddenly I had a Gold chq account, a Gold credit card and a Pvt Credit Card....not what I asked for. My available credit funds sat in my Pvt Credit card which I could no longer access because I did not have a card for it. After complaining FNB removed my Pvt Credit card and then took my available balance with it, so when I tried to use my credit card when needed I had no available funds. I then had to increase my Gold cc limit to access funds again only for FNB to put me through for a upgrade with my increase AGAIN! I've canceled this request and made arrangements to settle my small outstanding balance asap. I'll be closing my FNB account. I am done with you. DONE.
