FNB & FNB Connect service worse than the Department of Home Affairs!!!!!!!

Hi FNB I have been trying since December 2017 to book an appointment for renewing my ID card and Passport on DHA's website at one of the branches in Gauteng that is part of the apparent scheme. There is just never a time slot available according to DHA's website!!!! I cannot even talk to talk to anyone at Merchant Place which is the nearest to me, my because the only number available is a general automated number for FNB ((087) ********** ) I can only listen to a pre-recorded voice message that wants me to make irrelevant selections. It never gives me an option to speak even to a real person. Let alone to be put through to FNB Merchant Place!!!! How is this possible if service is your thing?????

Your RB Jacobs Social media dude pointed the finger to DHA saying its them that has to deal with this. So I called them again.....

Early in June a very friendly and helpful DHA staff member Tjelesie, in the call centre, helped me to book an appointment for 4 July at 14:00 at the Merchant branch in Sandton. He just booked me to get a spot, not keeping in mind that I will not be in town then. He then advised me move the booking to a more suitable time later on.

This is exactly what I've been trying to do since the beginning of June. On 11 June Mosea of DHA told me FNB only opens bookings for about 2 weeks at a time and not further into the future. She said I should try at the beginning of each week log on and book a more suitable time. Also she told me that I cannot change my booking until after the actual booking time passed. How is this possible? Who is lying?? And who is actually simply not doing their jobs?

Please get someone to call me so I can move my appointment form 4 July at 14:00 to 30 July some time from 30 July onwards. I am willing to go to any of the 3 banks in Gauteng that can issue id's and passports. My reference number is ECH-0000H4YQ-77FEA9-P.

I've been spending more tie trying scheduling and rescheduling my appointment, than it would have taken me to drive to my hometown in Limpopo and go sit there in a cue starting at 3:00 in the morning!!!!

People I know who did this at ABSA and Nedbank had a breeze

I never thought I would see the day that FNB whose prides its self on "How they can help their customers" service is worse than Department of Home Affairs!!!!!

But this is exactly what is happening. And not only with your so called ID service as well also your FNB Connect service. I've been trying to get a working SIM card from you since Aprilish

I am still waiting for Dessi who was supposed to contact me yesterday morning at 8:00 to fix this issue of a SIM card that was offered for me for free. I tried to order 2 cards previously and cancelled them eventually because of the bad service and messed up system. Then I was offered another one for free by a Neo who called me on 6 June around 15:45. But this Neo didn't provide me with complete and accurate information so I could find her again. Just that she is working for FNB Connect and that she is reachable at ********** 147. After her not getting back to me, no one able to find her so they can give her my message, not getting joy and out of sheer frustration I asked Mbali Nenene last night to start the cancellation process of this so called free card that would have allowed me to try in your so called excellent service. And the reasons for cancelling are basically the same for the reasons I cancelled the previous 2. . Not even all my complaints have been investigated and addressed!!! Nor have I been given any feedback.

On the latest SIM card I also had issues with extra data I bought not registering for about a week. Something only happened after I made a big fuss about it at the call centre. If I buy data now, it means I want to use it now!!! Not days later and after having to spend time with 3 consultants on the phone!!!

And then people at FNB Connect's so called 24/7 hours department also don't know each other plus there is actually no 24/7 service because many of the people providing the crucial support are only working office hours when I am out in the field or working and not able to take calls. Actually since FNB says in its recorded message when you call ********** 147 that FNB Mobile or Connect has a 24/7, this is nothing but *****. !!! Not once you were able to provide me with a service resulting in an immediate solution!!!! The people answering phones also don't want to or are not able to lay complaints against their colleagues because they are apparently in other departments. What a worthless excuse to cover each other. How can you ever then improve??? Every time I've called, the people answering the phones also said they've never heard of the people who contacted me on behalf of FNB Connect. But they all tell me they are all working for FNB Connect and all are reachable with the same number apparently. The people answering the phones just don't know these ghosts who calls me either to offer free cards or to apparently trying to solve my issues.

I have been trying since April to get a working card and I still don't have a proper service!!. I've spend hours on the phone and when they offered me something for free I had to pay. I've collected many reference numbers of different types in the process and every time I speak to someone I get a completely different type of number because they don't recognise numbers for other divisions or something. They don't even recognise the numbers I am am providing. There were only a few people like Arnold Romain, Tsundukani Ndhove, Hloni Molefe and Noyameka who tried to do their best to help, but FNB's messy, compartmentalised service and systems makes it impossible for them to do their job and to deliver a satisfactory service. Here are some of my numbers SI ********** 104434 AND ********** AND CAS-32091-F8B1P1 AND R ********** 539 AND Ref ********** 539 AND RS ********** 9162 AND CAS-34926-Q2X2V2

Thank you Hello Peter I don't have much hope for this as I have laid various complaints through all their channels which are still not resolved and even the little bit that they tried to resolved, they made a mess of it due to doing basically precisely the same things that resulted in the problems in the first instance

Hi FNB / Hello Peter So Lebogang Sehlako called me and told me that they are investigating the "so-called free SIM card" that was promised to me. Hloni Molefe told me the same thing on 19 June. Ironically she explains to me how FNB Connect works and why they are not a real 24/7 service like they say they are. But it is exactly the same reasons and systems that created this mess. She at least now offered to migrate my SIM to prepaid from the 1st of June until the end of the investigation. And then thereafter if I want to it can be migrated back to Flexi Connect at FNB's cost if want to. But I still have not heard a word from FNB Merchant about my appointment to change my slot. Why is that??? I belief this is the relevant reference number which I received this morning: Ref ********** NF Regards Marize
