FNB [First National Bank] deliberately misusing #SeniorCitizen accounts. !!!

Greetings FNB,

Complaint ***

I've had a full hip replacement, and am in recovery but had to travel to FNB to have my account tended to on Saturday 2 October 2021..!!!! You are harming the lives of elderly people.

WHY is FNB [First National Bank] deliberately misusing #SeniorCitizen, the #elderly accounts with unfounded items unpaid bank charges, which bears no water as there were no unpaid items done by myself for the month of September and the few days in October.

On Saturday morning I accessed my account merely to stare at the horror of my account being overdrawn by R 137.00. On a Saturday morning..!!

To make use of the call centre contact numbers is like milking a bull and that I know from previous experience with FNB, a client has to go to the bank, there are no other options.

Upon the admin manager at FNB Woodstock, Cape Town tending to my account which was tended to by another FNB employee as well it was established that the charges deducted from my account were a malicious act on the side of FNB.

I requested the unfounded amounts be reversed back into my account with immediate effect upon which I was informed it can not be done until Monday 4 October '21. This was Saturday, and as a senior citizen, I had to go through the weekend without money for food as my account was now overdrawn...!!!!!!!!!!!

It is Tuesday 5 October '21 today, I have not even heard from FNB, no email, no phone call, nothing, zero, zilch about this reference number which was sms'ed to me on Saturday. FNB however had the audacity to send me an sms on Monday 4 October that my account is overdrawn and must be brought up to date without delay. What utter nonsense is this, the fact that my account is now overdrawn is NOT my fault, it is due to malicious charges referenced on my account by none other than FNB....!!!

Unless these charges are reversed and reflect back in my account before close of business today, 5 October 2021, I will not hesitate to take this issue to social media.

Awaiting your urgent reply and relevant action in reversing those charges back to my account.

regards

Mrs. D.C. Engelbrecht
