FNB (First National Bank)
Hi,
I am disappointed with FNB Insure on the STI team. I logged a called for my washing machine and fine, they sent someone to check the machine, but I had to follow up with the team on the status of the call. I received a call a week later being told the claim is unsuccessful. I asked the reason, and they tell me they only replace or approve natural disasters / power failures.
I am very upset as this is not what was said upon agreeing to this insurance. This happened before when my area had heavy rain and my laptop stopped working as it was plugged when the stock took place, and FNB refused to pay it saying the technicians says it is software issues and the insurance don't cover that. Later I took the notebook was turning on and off as it was the power damage on the battery. I had to fix it myself because my FNB insurance said they will not pay it. I am really disappointed that in making customers agree to the policy they are not being fair in explaining everything in detail. Now I am sitting with washing machine that is not working and with no insurance to cover it for repair or replacement.
What turns me off about this is I end up fixing my own household staff because it is clear that FNB is not coming to the party and need to get this issue resolved.
I am very disappointed to say up to today, I have not been assisted by the bank and the ombudsman for STI. I Have made follow ups and no feedback. Loss Event: RNM07327 , Claimed Policy: ***4378/00 , Policy Holder. I feel that this is now a **** to making us pay insurance but upon claiming we are rejected. I would rate FNB STI 0/100 as the service is really poor on the insurance side.
