FNB Fiduciary; The Future of Failure
I am shocked at the lack of professionalism, diligence and common courtesy of the FNB Fiduciary department in the Eastern Cape.
Since the death of our loved one in May 2021, we have received little to NO feedback regarding the process or progress of the settling of his estate.
We were accommodating to the point of bending over backwards whilst they sent valuators into the home WE own to assess and value his possessions for auction. They removed extremely valuable items without properly documenting and disclosing said items and despite my emails and telephone calls to the agent dealing with the estate, over 6 months has passed without any contact or feedback.
Whilst I understand such things are a tricky business and take time, is it too much to ask for feedback? Almost SIX months with no contact!
I am growing very concerned regarding the transparency and ethical nature of the entire process. Surely it is not normal practice to remove valuable items without documenting or disclosing them? We were told only jewelry and coins may be legally removed from the premises, yet cameras were also taken without being documented.
Where are these items being held until auction? Or will they disappear into thin air along with any accountability from FNB?
Has anyone else had similar experiences? I cannot think this is normal or ethical. Losing a loved one is hard enough, but FNB only add insult to injury.
FNB Fiduciary... where your peace of mind regarding honouring your loved one's last will is ****** and forgotten!
