FNB Fiduciary - FRUSTRATION, NO FEEDBACK, 3 YEARS

I am so frustrated with FNB and their management of my father's estate. I understand some of the delays was due to government institutions. I literally had to get the letter of authority for the trust myself. If I didn't get someone to write a letter of the urgency for this trust to be established it still wouldn't have been done and FNB would have told me they are following up every week which is NONSENSE since the court never even touched my file before I made work of it. Their way of following up is a person going there collecting the letters, If your letter is not there its not there. No more effort.

But eventually the trust was registered which was the last hurdle we had to jump to finalise the estate. They confirmed receipt of this letter on 9 January 2023. I followed up again in mid Feb to hear that the estate is in a finalised estate and they are waiting for a final interest run for 28 Feb. So I gave them a chance to do their job.

After 28 Feb I followed up every week. No one is responding. No telephone lines get through to anyone. I contacted the trust department which also escalated the message to Mavis to contact me which also didn't happen. This is the third person in this position since the process started.

We are now in the third year where they are delaying the finalisation for some reason. The total value of the estate was below R2m so it wasn't even a large estate. I feel sorry for actual rich people that has to work through FNB to administer their estate. Their loved ones will be the ones left with the frustration of your incompetence.
