FNB Fees

Previously one could download proof of payment of a past transaction on the FNB Online banking portal in two ways: 1. In Beneficiary menu by clicking on beneficiaries name or amount. 2. In Transaction history entering on the transaction

This was available without any fees been charged

Now, the only option for obtaining a Proof of Payment is through a request from the bank, with fees charged each time.

I find this system unfair as I am paying banking fees for the maintenance of my account every month.

Also the more than R100 penalty they charge for unpaid debit orders is excessive, some banks only levy penalties of below R10 failed debit order. FNB charge almost R50 for clearance of payments whilst other banks charges is as low as R8 per clearance.

I've been a client of FNB for almost 20 years but their fee structure over past 6-7 years appears not to balance value with cost, taxing loyalty instead of rewarding it.

Upon a recent equiry regarding a debit order returned unpaid while normal monthly deposit was in process on the same day, customer services rep**** that its not their responsibility to inform clients of pending payment rejections nor provide payment tracking.

I hope FNB would address these concerns as they are aware thereof and have created the perception that the services rendered to clients are not of primary importance to their business model.

Kind Regard
