FNB Faulty ATM Swallowed My Credit Card

I would like to voice my concern about the unjust policy regarding cards being swallowed by faulty ATM's. I was on my way back from work yesterday and stopped at my nearest FNB in Douglasdale. To my surprise upon inserting my FNB credit card the machine did not prompt for a pin nor did the screen initialize any kind of menu or prompt me for anything. I tried to press cancel to get my card back but still nothing made a difference. I then reported the card and to my surprise the lady on the phone had told me i will be charged for a replacement card!!!! How does a faulty FNB ATM cost money out of my pocket. This makes no sense what so ever and as a loyal FNB banker i am very disappointed.
