FNB failing to close my account and charging me on top of it!

I have been trying to get my bank account with FNB closed now for over a year. First they would not let me close my account because I still owed on a laptop that I bought through them even though I asked them to set a debit order on my new account. They forced me to keep the account with them, having to pay R127 a month in fees for an account that I do not use, excepting for paying off the device. The device was finally paid off in on September 17. On September 18 I went to FNB Worcester to close my account once again! At that time I had R42 in my account. I spoke to an employee named Ettiene, and after a long wait and a call to head office, he assured me that the account would be closed and that he would confirm with me within 24 hours. I heard nothing. So this morning I logged on to my online FNB and lo and behold, I could still log in. And to my dismay, I find that I now once again owe FNB money after they added R127 in service charges to my account. This is absolutely disgusting that one should have to battle like this to get an account closed. Nobody came back to me with anything! If I did not check up on this my account would have been racking up charges again for months and months without me knowing. This is akin to theft in my book. I would advise anyone not to open an account with FNB ever, and if you have one, close it, and make sure it is close, and move to another bank. This is pure ****************!
