FNB ewallet sucks!

I was sent an ewallet payment, but when I wanted to withdraw the amount I discovered FNB have changed the way these work. You now have to open an account with them before you can withdraw the funds...

So I tried to apply for this account using the USSD process via my cellphone, but the process is so cumbersome and convoluted! You have to provide your name and surname, but you don't have the option to access a normal keyboard on your cellphone, only the numerical keypad. Then you are asked to provide a 5 digit pin, but no combination that I tried was accepted.

I just gave up in frustration at this cynical attempt to score new bank accounts. I advised the person who sent me the money and advised them to reverse it since I could not access it.

They've now informed me that they cannot access the money either!? It's been more than 3 days, so the transaction cannot be reversed on their app. There is no way to access it from the app either, now the money is stuck in the ether!
