FNB ewallet
My experience was quite frustrating and infuriating.. In my attempt to use the well-marketed convenience FNB service (ewallet). I urgently went to withdraw an ewallet from an ATM in Sharon Park Nigel at 19:03. The ATM reciprocated by giving me an error message indicating that I'd either provided an incorrect pin or phone number. I then requested another pin on my phone and attempted again.. I received another error message on the slip. I checked my balance on the phone and noticed that the money was still there. The following morning I attempted to withdraw the cash and was informed that the cash was no longer available. I then contacted the call center, where the agent (Sotho) informed me (after a noticeable long wait on the phone) that it looks like the request was actioned last night... but I was unable to get the cash due to the ATM malfunction.
Further I was informed with no remorse that the call would be escalated to the ATM division for resolution. the query has a turn around time of 7-14 days... not quite sure if this is calendar days or working days. But neither the turn around time not FNB has any regard for the inconvenience that was caused... This does not in the least live up to their slogan.. How can we help you..
Very very disappointed with the response of their error!
