FNB Ermelo lack of service
We have been trying to open a co-operative bank account with FNB Ermelo. We made an appointment, went to the branch on 23 March 2018 , the consultant (Prudence Shongwe) checked our documents together with her Team Leader(Promise Malasha), they told us that they were missing documents and we made a list of them i.e. Proof of residence for certain members. We went back and prepared the required documents and got back the next day, since the co-operative should submit bank details to the Dept of Rural Dev for funding. When we get there we submitted all the documents (same as the ones we submitted when we opened the first bank account for the same co-operative). They check again and said, the Constitution must be stamped on the last page. Not opposing them following procedures but I dont understand why we should be turned away twice for the same account. The issues they are pointing out did not exist yesterday. We traveled more than 100km to the farm to get the documents they wanted together, when we get there its knew issues all together. The co-operative might lose the funding and there are travelling expenses incurred which they clearly dont care about. Can there be consistency and clarity on what is required. We really dont understand how this bank operates. They once turned away someone who presented a CK2 fro business account application, saying they want CK1, which is impossible once one has had amendments on their registration certificate. Its not everyone that has money and time to keep coming back to them for nothing. Highly disappointed and this poor or lack of service.
